The city of Celle in Lower Saxony is celebrating the arrival of the “Hampton by Hilton” hotel, which officially opened its doors on June 1st. This new addition to Celle’s hospitality landscape is the result of more than two years of construction undertaken by the real estate group Highstreet and the construction company Johann Bunte.
Located on 77er Straße, the hotel features 141 rooms spread across four floors. Guests can choose from various types of accommodations, including classic king-size bed setups, family rooms with connecting doors, and studios with kitchenettes and private terraces. The rooms range in size from 20 to 30 square meters, catering to different guest needs.
The hotel provides an array of amenities, such as a fitness room, conference facilities, 50 parking spaces, and multiple dining options. This makes it a versatile venue for both leisure and business travelers.
Arndt Heitmann, the general manager of Hampton by Hilton Kaiserslautern, expressed excitement about the community’s interest: “Many people from Celle come in just to have a look. We are always happy when people come here and offer several tours every day where we show the people from Celle around the hotel.”
The official opening ceremony on June 20th will be a significant event, featuring esteemed guests and representatives from the local community, including Celle’s mayor, Dr. Jörg Nigge. The hotel’s location is strategically advantageous, being next to the city palace, opposite the Celle water park, and offering views of the town hall and the French Garden. Hayo Nadler, Architect and Managing Partner at Highstreet Group, emphasized the hotel’s potential: “There are around 260,000 overnight stays per year in the city of Celle. Celle is an attractive tourist, conference and congress location. We are convinced of the success of our hotel.”
Before the official opening, the hotel is hosting an open day event, allowing the public to explore its facilities. Charlotte Dax, Team Leader Project Development Hamburg at JOHANN BUNTE Bauunternehmung SE & Co. KG, highlighted the broader impact: “The Hampton by Hilton will not only increase the attractiveness of the city of Celle in the hotel sector, but will also wonderfully enrich the catering industry, retail, culture, and other local facilities.”
The addition of the Hampton by Hilton is expected to significantly boost Celle’s appeal as a tourist and business destination, contributing positively to the local economy and community.
