On Thursday, July 11, Nike and Jordan Brand celebrated the grand opening of a groundbreaking retail destination in the heart of Mexico City’s Historic Center. Situated at the bustling corner of Madero and Gante streets, adjacent to the iconic Iturbide Palace, the new Nike & Jordan World of Flight Mexico City spans over 22,000 square feet. This marks the debut of the first joint Nike and Jordan Brand store in Latin America and only the fifth of its kind globally.

The new store promises an unparalleled shopping experience for sneaker enthusiasts, featuring the latest innovations from both brands. A highlight of the store’s offerings is the Air Jordan 5 “El Grito,” which will be available starting September 7. This special edition sneaker is a tribute to Mexico’s rich heritage, drawing inspiration from Miguel Hidalgo’s historic “Cry of Independence” on September 16, 1810. The design symbolizes Mexico’s fight for freedom and celebrates the nation’s diversity through its mysticism, culture, and traditions. Priced at $225, the sneaker is expected to be a sought-after item among collectors and fans alike.

Nike describes their new three-story showroom as “more than just a store.” The space is meticulously designed to serve Nike Members, offering them exclusive opportunities to participate in sport, wellness, and creativity events.
