UK. Global travel restaurateur SSP has unveiled the first Starbucks airside outlet at Edinburgh Airport. Located in the departures area, the 75-seat venue is one of the largest at the airport and offers a grab-and-go takeaway service.

The new Starbucks location features low-level seating and serving areas, providing a clear view of flight information boards and boarding gates.

SSP UK & Ireland Business Development Director Cathy Granby said: “Opening this new Starbucks store at Edinburgh Airport provides passengers with an elevated pre-departure experience from a leading brand. We have enjoyed great success with Starbucks at a number of UK travel hubs and I’m confident that we’ll do the same here in Edinburgh.”

The Edinburgh Airport location is the latest addition to the recently revamped Starbucks stores operated by SSP, including at Leeds Bradford and Birmingham airports.

“We know having a well-known name and brand such as Starbucks continuing to serve people in the departures area at Edinburgh Airport will go down a treat with those travelling through. It’s been something our passengers have wanted to see, and it provides more options for them as they head through.”

The store is open daily between 4am and 10pm, increasing to 24/7 during the busiest summer travel season from July to October.
